The UCRG is a new campus organization established to bring together people with an interest in cognitive robotics. We hope to provide an environment where members of the University of Toronto community can meet to discuss, build and experiment with these systems. Also rooted in this project is the idea that we can enhance our understanding of cognition by modeling it in an embodied context.
Through symposia, workshops and reading groups we aim to promote cognitive robotics generally and to foster new and creative research by encouraging interdisciplinary collaboration between such various fields as autonomous systems engineering, artificial intelligence, cognitive science and human-computer interaction, to name a few.
